JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar has appointed Chirag Zubin Lacca as its new Director of Sales, reinforcing the property’s vision to sharpen its commercial strategy and scale its presence in Mumbai’s competitive luxury hospitality landscape.

Chirag Zubin Lacca brings over a decade of experience in hospitality sales, with a deep understanding of both domestic and global market dynamics. An alumnus of IHM Aurangabad with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, he has built a reputation for steering high-performing teams and forging long-term client relationships that translate into sustained revenue gains.

Before joining JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Lacca served as Associate Director of Sales at the Taj Hotels’ Global Sales Organisation in Pune, where he led strategic account development across public and private sector verticals. His journey in hospitality includes pivotal roles such as Director of Sales at Taj Wellington Mews, Mumbai, and earlier, Account Manager for the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), where he handled PSU and corporate accounts in South Mumbai.

He began his career as an Assistant Sales Manager at Novotel Goa, later advancing to Sales Manager at Taj Wellington Mews, Luxury Residencies, before taking on broader responsibilities at the group level.

Lacca is widely recognised for delivering measurable impact—most notably driving a 115% year-over-year growth through a large-scale partnership with public sector banks. This initiative enabled a Holiday Home Plan across 40 IHCL properties, significantly enhancing account value. His ability to maintain high-value relationships also contributed to a 20% share in non-resident banquet revenue at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace & Tower.

In this new role, Lacca will be responsible for spearheading revenue strategies, leading high-impact sales initiatives, and expanding market share across key business verticals—particularly corporate bookings, events, and destination weddings. His leadership comes at a crucial juncture when Mumbai’s hospitality market is witnessing renewed interest from both domestic and international travellers.

Commenting on his appointment in an official release, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar highlighted Lacca’s “deep understanding of regional market dynamics” and his ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. He is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening partnerships and unlocking new revenue streams for the property.

Strategically located near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar continues to be a preferred destination for luxury business stays, social events, and international stopovers. 

As Mumbai prepares to host a growing volume of global events and business conclaves, the demand for high-quality, experience-driven hospitality is surging. Hotels are increasingly turning to data-driven sales strategies, digital engagement, and personalised account management to differentiate in a saturated market.

The addition of Lacca is expected to bring renewed commercial focus and strategic foresight as JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar gears up for its next phase of growth.
