P.F. Chang’s has appointed Jim Mazany as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, stepping into the role previously held by Brad Hill.
Mazany joins P.F. Chang’s with a broad track record spanning multiple restaurant concepts. Most recently, he served as Operating Partner at private-equity firm TriSpan Capital and previously held leadership roles as CEO or Chairman at brands such as Rosa Mexicano, Yardbird and Shell Shack.
At P.F. Chang’s, his focus will include driving same-store sales growth, refining the brand’s fast-casual format, accelerating domestic and international expansion, and enhancing consumer-packaged-goods (CPG) initiatives.
Mazany commented:
“I’m thrilled to join P.F. Chang’s at such a pivotal time and lead the brand into its next chapter. Our goal is to build on the brand’s strong foundation to deliver bold flavours, immersive dining experiences, and innovative concepts that delight today’s guest and shape the future of modern Asian cuisine.”
For P.F. Chang’s, the appointment signals a pivot: while the brand has built a solid presence across more than 300 restaurants in 22 countries, the need now is to rekindle growth momentum, especially in a market where casual-dining competition is fierce.
Mazany inherits a brand that is well-known for its Asian-fusion dining ethos but is now being asked to evolve in line with changing consumer behaviours: faster formats, delivery-friendly models, and heightened guest expectations for both experience and value. The coming quarters will test how effectively he accelerates rollout plans, enhances brand appeal, and drives margins while maintaining the brand’s culinary identity.
