Kochi-based filter-coffee brand Adhira & Appa Coffee (A&A) has unveiled ambitious plans to expand across India, targeting over 50 outlets by the end of the current financial year. The announcement comes as the brand opens new stores in Hyderabad and Nashik, following a successful debut in Kochi.
To fuel its growth, A&A Coffee will roll out stores across several formats: Signature Stores, Flagship Stores, and Express Stores, each tailored to different market sizes and consumer behavior. The brand is also inviting franchise partners and investors, offering a range of investment tiers. Mini-kiosks are expected to require around ā¹15 lakh, Express Kiosks ā¹30 lakh, Flagship Stores ā¹60 lakh, and Signature Stores approximately ā¹90 lakh. A master franchise model will be offered in markets with high growth potential.
Co-founder & COO Karan Mendon emphasizes that A&Aās expansion isnāt just about geography: it is an effort to ācelebrate Indiaās coffee traditions while creating modern spaces where people can come together over authentic food, locally sourced coffee, and meaningful conversations,ā says ET Hospitality World. He noted that the positive reception in Kochi has confirmed that there is market demand for a blend of heritage, innovation, and local artistry.
Hari Kiran, another co-founder and COO with EBG Group, as reported by ET Hospitality, added: āAdhira & Appa Coffee reflects our commitment to building businesses that combine cultural heritage with modern consumer needs ⦠We are confident that A&Aās unique blend of authentic coffee, fusion food, and local artistry will allow us to scale to 50+ outlets this year and strengthen our position as a group that champions Indiaās entrepreneurial spirit.ā
Adhira & Appa Coffeeās strategy comes at a moment when Indiaās cafĆ© culture is accelerating, particularly for filter coffee and regional flavors. The multi-format model gives flexibility: express and kiosk formats allow quicker expansion at lower capital, while flagship and signature stores help build brand image and loyalty.
