Moe’s Casa Mexicana™, the international incarnation of the U.S.-based Moe’s Southwest Grill, is launching in India. The brand’s first location in the country is set to open on December 6, 2025 at Elan Miracle in Gurugram, through a master franchise partnership with Unify Foodworks.

Unify Foodworks, already known in India’s F&B space, will not just run the flagship outlet but has committed to developing a 45-unit pipeline by 2033.

The 139-sq-m restaurant features an upbeat, modern design and will operate across formats including dine-in, takeaway, and delivery.

While the menu will stay true to classic Moe’s offerings like burritos, bowls, tacos and nachos, there will also be India-specific adaptations. These include options with paneer (in place of beef) and vegetarian versions, along with flexible spice levels tailored to local tastes.

Jim Holthouser, CEO of GoTo Foods (parent company of Moe’s Casa Mexicana), said this launch marks a key phase in the brand’s global growth strategy: “Launching Moe’s Casa Mexicana marks a defining moment … With the right balance of global strategy and local market flexibility, we’re delivering consistency, innovation and operational excellence across continents.”

Dave Mikita, President of International & Retail Channels at GoTo Foods, added that India will see multiple store formats, from inline and kiosk to full-scale dine-in, to suit different real estate contexts.

Why India first for the International concept:

  • Strategic market: India is the first country to receive the reimagined Moe’s Casa Mexicana concept, underlining GoTo Foods’ confidence in the region.
  • Mexican cuisine demand: Fast-casual Mexican is emerging strongly in India, the new concept aligns global flavor credentials with market-relevant design and menu.
  • Scalable model: Flexible store formats, coupled with a dedicated international supply-chain strategy, make the brand scalable across Indian cities.

By balancing its American Mexican roots with local flair, from spice and proteins to formats, it’s positioning itself to resonate deeply with Indian diners.
