South Africa–origin premium café brand tashas is preparing to open its first full café in Riyadh, located in the vibrant King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), marking its formal Saudi debut. The opening is slated for October 2025 under a partnership with Janiya, establishing tashas Café as a new destination for lifestyle, food, and design in one of the fastest-growing business hubs in the Middle East.
- The Riyadh outlet at KAFD is built around the core tashas philosophy: comforting, unpretentious food made to order, coupled with thoughtfully designed spaces that transition from morning café vibes to elegant dinner settings.
- The menu will feature tashas’ classic daytime favourites—fresh salads, expressive mains—and a bespoke Dinner Menu developed specifically with Riyadh’s evening dining expectations in mind. There’s also a strong emphasis on desserts, with what tashas describes as the largest cake display ever in one of their cafés.
- Beverage offerings will include non-alcoholic, creative drinks, crafting a curated and presentable drink menu that fits both daytime café culture and evening relaxation.
tashas’ Riyadh launch isn’t just about adding another café in the Middle East, it’s strategic. With this move, tashas places itself at a junction of growth and competition. tashas KAFD will likely be more than a café, it might become a benchmark in how lifestyle eating out is done in Saudi’s modern districts.
