Thomas Cook (India) has been appointed as the exclusive partner for accommodation and transport at the 11th Asian Aquatics Championships, being held in Ahmedabad, from September 28 to October 11, 2025. This marks India’s first time hosting this continental aquatic sports event.

Thomas Cook India’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) teams will manage end-to-end logistics across several portfolios: accommodation, transport, airport arrivals and departures, logistics, and catering coordination. They will support a contingent of over 1,100 people, including 650+ athletes, support staff, and dignitaries from 29 Asian nations competing in swimming, diving, water polo, and artistic swimming.

To carry this out, Thomas Cook has mobilized a team of more than 40 members, overseeing operations across six hotels for a duration of 15 days. A dedicated control centre will ensure transport and hotel coordination remains seamless throughout.

Services include shuttle and coach transport, F&B arrangements, airport handling with exclusive parking and immediate transfer, and support teams stationed at terminals. Vegetarian, vegan, Halal, kosher and gluten-free options will be offered in food services, catering to diverse dietary preferences of participants.

This partnership signals Thomas Cook India’s rising influence in large-scale sports events logistics. It is a validation of its capacity in the MICE sector to handle complex, multi-location operations involving high-stakes schedules and international participants.

For Ahmedabad and Gujarat, this means opportunities for hotel partners to showcase premium lodging, for transport operators to gain visibility, and for local businesses to benefit from the influx of international visitors.
