MakeMyTrip Ltd (a major player in the online travel business) has teamed up with Minor Hotels (an international hospitality firm with over 560 hotels around the world) so travellers will have more international accommodation options available through the MakeMyTrip platform. The alliance dramatically increases MakeMyTrip’s international hotel offerings (primarily high-end and luxury) while creating additional choices for travellers booking accommodations in Europe, Asia, and around the Middle East.
Minor Hotels’ portfolio includes a wide range of internationally recognized brands such as Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Elewana Collection, The Wolseley Hotels, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, Minor Reserve Collection, NH Collection Hotels & Resorts, how Hotels & Resorts, Avani Hotels & Resorts, Colbert Collection, Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites and iStay Hotels. Through the partnership, MakeMyTrip users will now have access to these hotel experiences, spanning business hubs, city getaways and leisure resort destinations.
Currently, 60 Minor Hotels properties are live on MakeMyTrip’s platform, with more expected to be added over time as the listing scales to include a broader slice of the hospitality group’s global portfolio. Of the properties live today, 12 carry MakeMyTrip’s “Loved by Indians” tag, a designation that highlights stays offering high comfort for Indian travellers, such as Indian-friendly dining options, convenient locations and ease of access.
Through this partnership, MakeMyTrip further strengthens its strategic direction towards developing direct relationships with the leading global hotel chains and enhances both the quality and range of international accommodation types that customers can book. In 2025, MakeMyTrip had a total of more than 77,900 distinct hotels listed for reservation in over 4,350 cities across 192 different countries, of which nearly one-third were in the premium category, demonstrating increased demand from Indian travellers seeking to travel overseas in upscale accommodation.
Rajesh Magow, co-founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, says this partnership underlines MakeMyTrip’s continued commitment to evolving its international offering by aligning with current traveller preferences. Ian Di Tullio, Chief Commercial Officer of Minor Hotels, adds that India is a critical growth market and that the Minor Hotels group is working to develop its global hotel portfolio based on the changing needs and preferences of travellers from India.
This strategic partnership showcases how global hotel chains and online travel agencies are coming together to take advantage of the growing demands for international travel from Indian customers, particularly in the premium and luxury segments.
By incorporating Minor Hotels’ extensive global hotel portfolio, MakeMyTrip strengthens its competitive positioning in the outbound hospitality market by meeting the needs of leisure and business travellers for unique and unforgettable experiences in some of the world’s best tourist destinations.
