Harajuku, known for its playful Japanese-inspired café formats, has opened a new Bakehouse in West Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh, bringing desserts, bakes, and a curated café experience to a neighbourhood with a growing appetite for experiential casual dining.

  • The bakehouse spans ~800 sq ft and offers a blend of sweet and savoury menu items.
  • Sweet highlights include Mochi Pancakes, Japanese Cotton Cheesecake, Sakura Yuzu Basque Cheesecake, and Rainbow Slice, among others.
  • On the savoury side, offerings such as Yakisoba Buns, Miso Chicken Puffs, Croque Monsieur, and Chicken Floss Buns are on the menu.
  • Beverage options go beyond coffee to bubble teas, ceremonial matcha, and artisanal coffees.

Harajuku’s founder, Gaurav Kanwar, views this launch as more than just geographical expansion. “Punjabi Bagh represents a microcosm of Delhi’s dining culture; energetic, diverse, and always willing to experiment,” As noted in Restaurant India, he said, emphasizing that neighborhood locations like this offer strong repeat potential and community engagement.

The brand reportedly plans 15 outlets by year end and has a larger roadmap to open up to 90 more outlets in the next three years, with models like the Bakehouse being key to scaling efficiently.
