Jersey Mike’s Subs announced on December 2, 2025, that Michele Allen will be the company’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective December 1.

Allen succeeds longtime finance head Walter Tombs, who is set to retire in January 2026 after 26 years with the company. Tombs will remain on board as an advisor through the transition period. What Michele Allen brings to the table:

  • Allen comes with more than 25 years of financial leadership experience in franchising and hospitality. Her most recent role was CFO and Head of Strategy at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
  • With Allen at the helm, Jersey Mike’s will entrust her to oversee its global finance organisation, supply-chain, and enterprise performance management. The appointment comes as the brand ramps up efforts to expand both domestically and internationally.
  • According to the company’s CEO, Allen’s “deep expertise in franchise-first business models” and her proven track record at a publicly traded global hospitality company make her well suited to support Jersey Mike’s next growth phase.

Strategic Significance of this Appointment:

  • Jersey Mike’s currently operates more than 3,100 locations across the U.S. and Canada, and in recent months has also strengthened its C-suite, with other key appointments such as a new President & COO and Chief People Officer.
  • Bringing in an executive from a global hospitality-franchise background signals that Jersey Mike’s is doubling down on disciplined financial oversight, supply-chain robustness, and strategic growth, especially relevant as they push for global expansion beyond North America.

In an industry where growth is often pursued aggressively, Jersey Mike’s decision to appoint a seasoned finance veteran like Michele Allen suggests that the chain wants to grow, but grow smart.
