Red Lobster Taps Brad Hill as CFO to Lead Financial Transformation

Casual dining seafood chain Red Lobster has appointed Brad Hill to the role of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Transformation. This appointment comes at a time when the company is looking to strengthen its leadership team and improve its operations.

Hill’s new role at the company involves leading the company’s finance organization. In addition to his core role of Chief Financial Officer, Brad Hill will also assist in leading transformation initiatives within the company. This way, the company’s operations will benefit from his leadership.

This appointment comes at a time when the company is looking to transform and improve its operations. The company’s CEO, Damola Adamolekun, said as noted in NRN, “We have been in a period of stabilization and have made good progress in rebuilding and repositioning our company. Now, we’re entering a disciplined growth phase, with a focus on operational excellence, guest experience, and real estate.”

Mr. Hill also brings significant leadership experience in restaurant operating roles to this position. Before joining Red Lobster, Mr. Hill held various senior leadership roles at P.F. Chang’s, including leading finance and operation initiatives during his tenure at the Asian-inspired casual dining restaurant chain.

Mr. Hill initially served at P.F. Chang’s as senior vice president of finance and organizational effectiveness before advancing to become the chain’s chief financial officer and then chief operating officer. Mr. Hill has also demonstrated his capability to lead complex operational and financial transformations in large restaurant operating systems.

At Red Lobster, his job will not only include financial management. In the announcement, the company said that Hill will also oversee strategic real estate initiatives, such as negotiations, economic analysis, and deal execution, as the brand continues to optimize the restaurant base.

Hill takes the place of the previous CFO, Bob Baker, who has left the company.

The hiring of Hill is part of the overall expansion of the leadership team at Red Lobster, with the goal of improving the operational and growth strategies of the company. Along with the hiring of Hill, the company has also hired Kristen Briede, who will become the Chief Global Development Officer, overseeing the franchising, partnership, and growth initiatives.
