Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has named veteran restaurant executive David Deno as its new Chief Executive Officer, bringing one of the industry’s most experienced operators on board as the company works to accelerate its turnaround and strengthen long-term growth.
The appointment, announced by Cracker Barrel and reported by Nation’s Restaurant News, will take effect later this year.
Deno brings decades of experience across the restaurant and retail industries, with a strong track record of leading businesses through growth and a demonstrated commitment to operational excellence, guest experience, and team member engagement.
Announcing the appointment, Cracker Barrel Chairman Ralph Alvarez said Deno’s combination of operational expertise, financial discipline and brand-building experience made him the right leader for the company’s next phase of growth.
“We are confident David is the right leader to accelerate Cracker Barrel’s transformation and create long-term value for our shareholders, employees, guests and franchise partners,” Alvarez said in the company’s official announcement.
