Goa is set to host the fourth edition of the NRAI Indian Restaurant Summit 2025, themed “Serving the Future,” gathering over 2,000 delegates, more than 70 speakers, along with 500+ brands and countless partners from India’s food service sector. Scheduled for September 15-17 at the Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon, the summit seeks to become more than just a networking event; it aims to be a catalyst for change in culinary culture, sustainability, technology, and tourism.
Speakers and panelists will address wide-ranging issues, from technology adoption and digital transformation to environmental sustainability and tourist-driven opportunities. Issues such as supply chain pressures, talent retention, and evolving consumer expectations are expected to be discussed under the lens of restoring not just profitability, but purpose. The summit carries an undercurrent of “hopes, hearts, and hunger for change”, a common refrain among attendees, reflecting both aspiration and urgency in the current restaurant climate.
The Summit’s timing comes at a sensitive moment for India’s F&B industry. Labor costs, inflation, supply issues, and shifting consumer behavior are testing margins in QSRs, fine dining, and everything in between. Operators are keen to unpack how others are leaning into sustainable practices, policy advocacy, and differentiated customer experiences.
Some of the panels to watch:
- “Legends: How to stay relevant in changing times,” brings veteran restaurateurs into conversation with fresh voices.
- Workshops on sustainability, packaging, brand purpose, and tourism synergies.
- Deep dives on digital tools, from kitchen display systems to POS, and from menu engineering to cloud ordering.
The summit offers a chance to show that operational efficiency and hospitality excellence are partners, not trade-offs. For restaurateurs, this is a moment to lean into change: hopes may be heartfelt, but the hunger for innovation, profit, and relevance is grounded in real urgency.
