India’s trail-blazing hospitality brand, ITC Hotels Limited, has secured a remarkable quartet of global sustainability honours at the World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards 2025 (WSTHA) in Dubai. The group was awarded the World’s Leading Sustainable Organisation 2025, along with the World’s Leading Sustainable Food & Nutrition Initiative 2025, the World’s Leading Sustainable Marketing Campaign 2025, and the World’s Leading Sustainable Employer 2025, achieving the highest number of wins for any organisation at the event.

The awards were conferred following a rigorous four-stage selection process involving nomination, pre-evaluation by the Sustainable Business Institute, short-listing by the WSTHA Advisory Board, and global public voting.

Commenting on the recognition, Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels, said, and Hotelier India noted:

“This global recognition reaffirms our commitment to Responsible Luxury, where sustainability and excellence converge to redefine hospitality.”

Glenn Mandziuk, President & CEO of the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (WSHA), as noted by Hotelier India, added:

“ITC Hotels’ remarkable achievement … exemplifies the transformative power of purpose-driven leadership. Their Responsible Luxury ethos demonstrates how sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand…”.

  • Global benchmark for Indian hospitality: By topping the global awards across multiple categories, ITC Hotels not only underscores its credentials but helps reposition Indian luxury-hospitality brands on the world stage.
  • Sustainability as business strategy: The awards reflect that sustainability at ITC is woven into the business model. Initiatives spanning food sourcing, energy and water use, and employee engagement reinforce this.
  • Operational relevance: For owners, developers, and operators in India’s hospitality sector, ITC’s achievement sends a signal that high-performance sustainability can differentiate brands amid supply growth and evolving guest expectations.

For decades, sustainability in luxury hospitality has been aspirational; now, ITC is making it operational. The brand’s recognition at WSTHA 2025 suggests that luxury can be synonymous with planet-plus performance.
