Mobility startup Cityflo, known for its premium bus-based commute service, partnered with India’s youth-culture hospitality brand SOCIAL to launch Mumbai’s first experiential Bar Hop on a party bus, a four-hour, multi-neighbourhood event that blended nightlife, movement, and community into a single format.
Held on December 6, the debut edition brought together 30 guests who travelled across three SOCIAL outposts, Capital SOCIAL, Khar SOCIAL, and Versova SOCIAL, turning what would typically be a point-to-point commute into a curated cultural ride.
The experience opened at Capital SOCIAL, where guests sampled drinks from the brand’s new Big Drop menu before boarding a Cityflo bus transformed into a high-energy party vehicle. With a live DJ, guided interactions, games, and a rotating drink selection at each stop, the bus served as both transit and social space, a mobile venue designed to spotlight Mumbai’s neighbourhoods through movement.
According to Sankalp Kelshikar, Chief Marketing Officer at Cityflo, the collaboration signals a new direction for the mobility platform:
“Cityflo has long been associated with dependable work commutes. With this collaboration, we wanted to show how a bus can become an engaging space on wheels, something the whole city can participate in.”
SOCIAL’s leadership echoed the sentiment. Divya Aggarwal, Chief Growth Officer at Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality, said the format grew from Mumbai’s culture of constant movement:
“The Bar Hop wasn’t just about a new drinks menu, it was about reflecting how the city connects. Each stop became a story. The journey became as memorable as the destination.”
The strong turnout and citywide buzz suggest appetite for formats that merge mobility with culture, especially among urban communities seeking fresh ways to socialise. For Cityflo, the Bar Hop serves as a prototype for more mobility-led, community-driven experiences, from themed gatherings to concerts and curated events, planned for the coming months.
