Westlife Foodworld, the operator of McDonald’s restaurants across West and South India, reported a sharp increase in quarterly profit, signaling improving operational stability amid a challenging consumer environment.
The company posted a 56% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹2.37 crore for the fourth quarter, compared with ₹1.52 crore during the same period last year.
Westlife Foodworld reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹618 crore in Q4, reflecting continued growth driven by store expansion, delivery demand, and menu-led initiatives.
The company has been focusing on balancing affordability and profitability as value-conscious consumers increasingly influence spending patterns across quick-service restaurants.
The latest results suggest improving cost management after a prolonged period of inflationary pressure across labor, commodities, and restaurant operations.
Like many global quick-service operators, Westlife Foodworld has spent the past several quarters navigating softer discretionary spending alongside elevated input costs. The stronger profit growth indicates gradual margin recovery as operational efficiencies and scale benefits begin to improve performance.
The company also continued expanding its restaurant network during the quarter, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy within India’s organized quick-service market.
Westlife Foodworld operates McDonald’s restaurants across West and South India under a master franchise agreement. The brand remains one of the country’s largest quick-service restaurant chains, competing aggressively across value meals, digital ordering, delivery, and breakfast categories.
India continues to be viewed as a long-term growth market for global restaurant brands due to rising urbanization, increasing middle-class consumption, and growing demand for organized dining formats.
The company has also been investing in technology-led ordering channels, loyalty programs, and delivery partnerships as digital sales become increasingly important across the restaurant industry.
