Shares of Swiggy, India came under pressure after India’s food safety regulator issued multiple notices to the company following consumer complaints, highlighting the growing regulatory scrutiny facing digital food commerce platforms worldwide.

Swiggy’s stock declined more than 2% after the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) disclosed that it had issued nine notices linked to consumer complaints received through its grievance monitoring system.

The complaints reportedly relate to food safety and consumer protection concerns flagged through regulatory channels. While the regulator has not publicly detailed every complaint, the notices form part of an ongoing review process under India’s food safety framework.

Swiggy stated that it is cooperating with authorities and addressing the issues raised through established compliance procedures.
