South Korean pizza chain GOPIZZA has strengthened its leadership team in India by appointing Mahesh Reddy as Co-founder of its India business, signaling the brand’s commitment to accelerating growth in one of the world’s fastest-expanding quick-service restaurant markets.

According to GOPIZZA’s official announcement, Reddy will work alongside the company’s global leadership to scale operations, deepen market penetration and build a stronger franchise ecosystem across India.

The appointment follows a period of rapid expansion for the brand.

Founded in Seoul in 2016 by Lim Jae-won, GOPIZZA has built its business around single-serving pizzas prepared using proprietary oval-shaped ovens that reduce cooking time while maintaining consistency. The concept was designed to address growing demand for affordable, fast, individual meals rather than traditional family-sized pizzas.

Since launching internationally, the company has expanded across Asia, the Middle East and other international markets, operating hundreds of outlets through a mix of company-owned and franchised locations.

India has emerged as one of its strategic growth markets.

The country’s organized pizza segment continues to attract significant investment as urbanization, digital ordering and changing consumer preferences drive demand for quick-service dining. While global leaders such as Domino’s and Pizza Hut continue to dominate the market, newer entrants are increasingly targeting consumers seeking value-oriented formats, faster service and differentiated dining experiences.

Mahesh Reddy has been closely associated with GOPIZZA’s India operations and has played a key role in establishing the brand’s local presence. His elevation to Co-founder reflects the company’s strategy of combining global operational expertise with strong local leadership capable of adapting the business to Indian consumer preferences.

For restaurant operators, the appointment highlights a growing trend among international brands entering emerging markets.
