Yum! Brands has appointed Nai De Leon as its new Chief People & Culture Officer, reinforcing the company’s focus on talent development, organizational culture and leadership as it continues expanding one of the world’s largest restaurant portfolios.

According to Yum! Brands’ official announcement, De Leon will lead the company’s global people strategy, overseeing talent management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and workplace culture across the Yum! system.

She succeeds outgoing Chief People Officer Tracy Skeans, who recently announced her retirement after more than three decades with the company. Skeans played a significant role in shaping Yum!’s people-first culture and leadership development programs across its global operations.

Turner said, “Nai is an exceptional leader with deep expertise in talent, organizational transformation and leadership development, and she has already made an impact on our business since joining Yum!.”

De Leon joins Yum! Brands after serving in senior human resources leadership roles at major multinational organizations, where she led enterprise-wide workforce transformation, executive talent strategies and organizational development initiatives. She said in the official statement that she is honored to serve in this role. “Our people and culture are a tremendous competitive advantage, and I’m excited to build on the strong foundation Tracy and our team have established. I look forward to continuing to develop exceptional leaders, strengthen our culture and help our teams around the world unlock their full potential.”
